Lately I have been reading that what was once a side dish has become a main, it is a matter of choice however I loved the idea of eating these broccoli as a main as I loved the flavours. To make this dish you will need,
- 1 broccoli
- 3 chilies
- 120g organic cashew nuts
- Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- Parchment paper
- Step 1 Prepare your baking dish by lining it with some parchment paper. Wash your broccoli, chop it up and place on the paper. Add the garlic and the chilies to your dish and add some sesame oil over your ingredients. Sprinkle the nutritional yeast over the broccoli and bake for around 15 minutes until your broccoli are cooked but not too soft.
- Step 2 Nutritional yeast is a deactivated yeast which is sold commercially as a food product. It’s flavor is similar to cheese which makes it popular as an ingredient in cheese substitutes, so ideal for vegans. You can find this in most health food stores.
