As I was selecting fish to prepare for dinner I spotted a fish and asked about it, I was told that it was called a Bazuka and it lives on the seabed and had a very good taste so I said I must try this as I am always curious on learning about different tastes. To make this fish you will need,
FRESH BAZUKA FISH ON A BED OF FIGS
- A fish for two
- 400g baby figs
- 130g cos lettuce
- 1 clove garlic
- Sprigs of rosemary
- Step 1 Ask your fishmonger to fillet your fish and prepare it for easy cooking. Get a griddle pan and add some oil and cook the fish on both sides. It took a couple of minutes to cook, so keep an eye on it. Place the rosemary on the fish and let the flavors mingle together.
- Step 2 In another pan add some oil, peel and chop your garlic and cook. Wash the figs, slice them and add them to the pan and let them cook on a low heat until soft.
- Step 3 Wash and chop the lettuce roughly and add to the pan and stir until the lettuce is tender. Mix the figs and lettuce together and remove from heat.
- Step 4 Place the figs and lettuce on your serving dish and add the fish on top. This dish serves two.
