What a great way to use up this beautiful fruit in your fridge. Make this syrup and pour it over your oats or your pancakes. Mix it with ice cream or add to a smoothie, it is the perfect syrup. To make this you will need,
- 400g strawberries
- Zest of one lemon
- 1 tbsp agarve syrup
- Step 1 Wash and hull your strawberries and add them to a saucepan. Add your lemon zest and agave syrup to the strawberries and boil, lower the heat and let the fruit simmer for around half an hour.
- Step 2 Let the syrup cool, place in a container and keep in the fridge.
