Another delicious recipe for these sprouts. The mixture of ingredients work so well together, so if you are not sure whether to serve Brussels sprouts as a veggie dish this Christmas, give this a try and am sure you will enjoy the outcome of this recipe.
Caramelised Brussels sprouts.
- 500g fresh brussel sprouts
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 100g dried chickpeas
- 1tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1tbsp honey
- Some fresh rosemary
- A few mini peppers.
- Step 1 Get a flat baking tray and add some olive oil. Wash the sprouts and slice off the bottom part, slice them down the middle and place them on the tray. Add the balsamic vinegar and honey to the dish together with the fresh rosemary. Add the whole peppers too and roast them at 160C for around 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside.
- Step 2 Get the dried chickpeas and place into a blender and pulse a few times. Sprinkle them over the sprouts and get a spoon and pour the balsamic and honey from the dish over the sprouts and chickpeas. Place the peppers around the dish and add the rest to the dish.
- Step 3 These ingredients serve three to four servings as a side dish.
